Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to build and maintain the services that support our product operations. You will own backend features and production issues across management platforms, configuration, integrations, and operational workflows. This role requires strong .NET engineering skills, sound technical judgement, and a focus on reliability under high traffic.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs supporting product operations and internal management platforms.
• Build reliable workflows for configuration, operational controls, data processing, and platform integrations.
• Own technical design and delivery for complex features, including code reviews, testing, documentation, and production rollout.
• Improve service performance, database queries, concurrency handling, and availability.
• Investigate production incidents, identify root causes, and implement lasting fixes.
• Leverage Vibe Coding practices and AI coding tools to boost individual and team productivity, and explore AI-driven innovations in development workflows.
• Work with product, frontend, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver and support backend features.
• Mentor junior engineers and help improve engineering standards and system maintainability.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5 years of hands-on backend development experience, including ownership of production services.
• Strong practical experience with C# and .NET Core / .NET.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design, HTTP, service integrations, and backend system design.
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server), including SQL optimization; familiarity with NoSQL databases is an advantage.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, thread-safe code and design for data consistency, scalability, and fault tolerance.
• Experience diagnosing performance issues and resolving incidents in live systems.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to make technical decisions while working across teams.

Vibe Coding & AI-Assisted Development

• Practical Vibe Coding experience, proficient in using AI coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, Claude) to complete development tasks efficiently.
• Skilled in Prompt Engineering to guide AI in generating high-quality code, with the ability to effectively review and refine AI-generated output.
• Familiar with AI-assisted development workflows, integrating AI tools into coding, debugging, testing, and documentation phases to boost productivity.
• Strong judgment on the quality of AI-generated code, understanding its limitations and ensuring code security and maintainability.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with high-traffic digital platforms or operational systems.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, microservices, distributed systems, and monitoring tools.
• Experience building internal tools, configuration systems, or integrations with external platforms.
• CI/CD pipeline experience (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar).
• Experience scaling Vibe Coding / AI tool adoption to the team level.
• Open-source contributions or active technical blog writing.
